WooCommerce Tax Exempt Features

On the My Account page, you have the option to activate a tax exemption form which customers can utilize to submit necessary documents and data for a tax exemption claim. The store administrator then has the capacity to either approve or deny this claim through the backoffice.

If approved, taxes will be automatically deducted from future purchases, or alternatively, an option can be given to customers to manually do so with each order. Details of the tax exemption can be observed on the order detail pages.

Furthermore, it is within the store administrator’s power to provide tax exemptions for choosing customers and user roles. These chosen users may not have necessarily supplied any tax information on their account but will retain the capability to benefit from a tax exemption like regular customers who have provided their tax documents and successfully claimed for a tax exemption.

• Allow all or selected user roles to claim tax exemption
• Display tax exemption form in “my account”
• Customize form fields
• Display tax exemption status in “my account” – pending, rejected, or approved
• Review submitted tax exemption requests from the back-office
• Approve or disapprove tax exemption requests
• Add expiry date for tax exemption
• Allow guest users to claim tax exemption
• Grand tax exemption status to selected customers and user roles from the back-office (no need to submit tax info)
